Ow. This "movie," or rather, "toy commercial," is soooo bad. How could the writers and filmmakers simultaneously try too hard and fall so short?

I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be released as an extra with the Cars 2 DVD so that explains a lot...

I liked the reference to the PT-6A, and it entertained my 2 year old nephew for the entire movie with me.

Actually, it was made by DisneyToon, not Pixar. DisneyToon does all of the straight to DVD/VHS sequels, including the only good one, Lion King 1 1/2. And in response to TheJWT, yes, it was originally going straight to DVD, but someone higher up must have okayed it.

Yeah, I know. The lack of Pixar was palpable. Totally derivative story and an overall lifelessness to the production.
